This is one thing Mass Effect 3 got 100% correct. The only achievements that involved multiplayer also had alternative single player unlock conditions. I really wish more games would do this, Tomb Raider included. I like to try and earn Platinum trophies in games I really enjoy, but multiplayer trophies are a very good way to turn me off from that.
